Today is day 2 of Paper Artists Collectives #amonthinpaper. The topic is favorite tools. I thought I would share some of my favorite ones. You don’t necessarily have to have these, but if you’re a full time quiller, you find certain tools for certain uses.
The first is the Savvy Slotted Tool. It’s a great fit for the hand and makes a smaller tab on the inside of your coil than most slotted tools.

The second tool is Quilling Creations Quilling Tweezers. As you can see I’ve had mine for quite a while and when I work in the on edge technique, these come in handy for strip placement. The points of the tips easily get into tight spaces.

Cutter Bee Scissors are the perfect size for snipping in tight spaces and they cut all the way down to the end for perfect trimming.

If you want the center coil to be nonexistent, you can use a needle tool or this tool sold by Quilling Maggie here on Etsy. It’s very pricey, but if you quill a lot it is worth it to me.

If you work with strips for on edge that are larger than the typical 1/8”, then this crimper is absolutely a must! (In the picture, that is 1/2”strips.) It is from Krista over at The Quilling Nerd. She is currently on a break through January for Etsy, but you can also find her on Facebook by the same name.

I also highly recommend a fine tipped glue bottle. It can give you just as much glue as needed without over saturating the paper.

My last recommendation is for combs. Pet combs, human combs, or quilling combs. My favorite quilling comb is this one from Karen-Marie Klip. She has all kind of unique quilling supplies and kits. She is from Denmark, so the shipping to the US tends to be a bit expensive. Her website is https://karenmarieklip.dk/?lang=en

I hope you find some of these links useful. If you choose to use other products, it’s all about what works best for you. However, these are the ones I’ve fallen in love with… Please note these links are for my influencer account through Amazon that is pending and if you purchase, I might receive a small percentage.
Thank you for your support and Happy New Year!
