Day 3- #amonthinpaper This picture is my color palette in a nutshell. I have a tower of card stock, my precut 1/8” quilling strips, and a notebook of my own cut strips of varied sizes. I try to keep a good amount of choices because I never know what I’ll need for a new project. Do you have a favorite tool? I don’t think I can choose just one favorite tool. I have an assortment and each work well for specific tasks. I work with varied widths of paper strips and have a tool for each one. I will say that for the longest time I used huge scissors and the smaller ones made all the difference in the world. Same with the fine tipped glue bottle. Another commission I worked on this Christmas season. Zoom in for details in the letter. I’m not sure if the camera picked up the vibrant shades of reds, but I used three different ones in the letter H. For the apples and basket, I colored them and used shading with my colored pencils. I hope the recipient loved it as much as I loved making it.
